I don’t know how the rest of you feel, but after The Avengers my most anticipated movie of the 2012 summer is easily Prometheus. We have Ridley Scott finally back in the sci-fi game directing a script co-written by LOST’s Damon Lindelof. Add to that the original (and best) Lisbeth Salander, Noomi Rapace and X-Men: First Class’ Michael Fasbender? Yeah, I’m bugging to see this big time. June 8th can’t come soon enough.
Everyone involved in the production of this has been tight lipped. All we really know for sure is Prometheus takes place in the same universe as the Alien films and it carries the DNA of a prequel to that series. I don’t mind the secrecy, personally I want to know as little about this as I can.
That being said, I do have some spoilerish pics below, so if you want to go in clean, avert your eyes.
Ok, you’ve been warned.
Today Cinemart posted a couple sneaked pics of an early version of a mask used in the film, which you can see below. Cinemart had this to say about the pics:
“The image does look a bit like a Space Jockey but with some differences… the jutted out jaw looks very Xenomorph style and the top part of the skull screams ‘facehugger’.”
They also note their source said the mask is made to be worn by an actor, and confirms there is very little CGI being used for the aliens.
Are you guys as psyched for Prometheus as I am?
