After working out budget issues last year, Disney is now set to put The Lone Ranger film into production next month and casting is under way.

According to Deadline, James Badge Dale who is currently co-starring in Shame, and got The Grey (I’m seeing it tonight! Can’t wait!) dropping in two weeks, is in talks to join the film as Dan Reid, an ex-ranger and hero of the Old West. West is the older brother of The Lone Ranger.

Jerry Bruckheimer is producing and Gore Verbinski is directing. Johnny Depp is playing Tonto. Last time I read the draft of the script, Tonto steals the show.
