Something Resembling A Motion Poster For ‘The Avengers’

May as well start this post off with the spirit of one of Jerry Seinfeld’s old bits. So, what’s the deal with motion posters? Particularly ones that are online, and you know, not in theaters where they would probably be a lot more eye catching and impressive. With all the effort that’s put into them, why not release a clip? Or why not revolutionize city movie theaters by having them drawing more attention to the spaces in between the popcorn wallpaper?

Trends International has posted one for the upcoming Marvel superhero mash-up, ‘The Avengers.’ You can check it out below. Of all of the motion posters out there, this very well may be the worst — and oddly enough for what on paper should be the biggest film. It also very well may be fan made or the cover of some sort of children’s coloring book. Nonetheless, let its swaying motion either sooth you or make you ill. It’s a roll of the dice.

‘The Avengers’ comes from director Joss Whedon, and stars the likes of Chris Evans as Captain America, Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner, Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, and Tom Hiddleston as Loki.

The ensemble moves back and forth, back and forth in theaters on May 4, 2012.

Is this not good enough superhero news for you, the stilted movement of a group whose looks have long been revealed?

In that case, check out the official ‘Amazing Spider-Man’ synopsis here, some ‘Captain America’ sequel news here, and the possible synopsis of the ‘Doctor Strange’ film here.

This poster could be a lot better than that…

Make me remember a far 1998′ Internet, with websites full of gifs everywhere.
Comming back an’ forth, back an’ forth… hauhuhuhauhaua
