‘The Amazing Spider-Man’ Hot Trailer Is HERE!

So earlier today Sony Pictures went all out for “The Amazing Spider-Man” event, which kicked off by showing the trailer followed by an 8-minute sizzle reel. The event was a global event for the fans that took place in 13 cities around the world.

The event kicked off at 3pm EST with Andrew Garfield (Peter Parker/Spider-Man) in New York, Director Marc Webb in Los Angeles, Rhys Ifans (Dr. Curt Connors) in London, and Emma Stone (Gwen Stacy) along with producers Avi Arad and Matt Tolmach in Rio de Janeiro. The filmmakers and lead cast came together via satellite to answer questions and show the fans the 2½-minute trailer as well as a special extended sneak preview of the film.

Marc Weinstock, president, Worldwide Marketing for Sony Pictures said:

“As we were looking to debut the next trailer, it was important to us to share it with some of our most dedicated fans first. We’re thrilled that we were also able to bring our cast and filmmakers together with moviegoers from all over the world to premiere the trailer and give them a special sneak peek at some extended footage.”

What I found interesting was they asked Emma Stone about the difference between her character Gwen Stacy and Mary Jane, to which she said:

“Gwen Stacy loved Peter Parker and Mary Jane loved Spider-Man, Gwen gets along with her Dad and Mary Jane doesn’t, they are polar opposites”

I sort of like the idea of Gwen Stacy in this film because if I recall in the comic books, she is Peter Parker’s first love.

This brings an interesting topic when… And you know it’s coming…when the sequel to “The Amazing Spider-Man” comes out, will they kill her off? Will they re-introduce the Green Goblin because as you can see by checking out the new trailer OSCORP has a big part in the film? Which also brings a good question, will you see a small cameo of Norman Osborn?

Only time will tell.

Now I’m not going to get into the full details of what I saw at the event because you can see the new full trailer below. And let the madness begin. I thought it looked so good in 2D and especially in 3D due to the fact that it was shot in 3D and doesn’t have to be converted.

Check out the trailer below and let us know what you think.

“The Amazing Spider-Man” will do drug dealer dollars on July 3, 2012.

Any doubts that I had before have for the most part been squashed after this trailer. I’m liking what I’m seeing Andrew Garfield, he really feels like the Spidey I grew up loving.

I don’t want to like anything about this but yeah that looks awesome.

It looks cheap. The stunts, the CGI are all cheap looking. The Lizard CGI is just plain awful, a mix of Hulk CGI and Green Lantern. Peter Parker is so out of character and Garfield doesn’t fit the role at all. This is a really cheesy cheap Spiderman. Tv series like Heroes had way better stunts and CGI than this.

Damn you really cant please anyone.

The CGI doesn’t look cheap looking. Why must haters hate? You know your ass is going to be in the front of the line to see this, with a big bag of popcorn, soda and a box of jujyfruits, when it comes out in July

no matter how bad you guys curse this movie, it’s gonna get at least 300million in North america

it still feels like a remake of the first film, this time with them just swapping marry jane for gwen and goblin for lizard, but, it does look a hell of a lot better then the first trailer made it out to be. I still not completely sold on the new outfit too but it does look like spiderman when he’s swining through the city streets so i guess i can let it slide! i might have to check this out in 3d!

WOW! This trailer changed my mind. I am not a fan of CGI but it still looks very good to me.

I will give it a chance, but why do they always unmask the hero ?

    Holy. Crap. This looks incredible!

This movie is not going to make 300 Million. Get your head out of your ass.

It’s being released only a few weeks before The Dark Knight Returns and after all the other Summer blockbusters (Avengers, MIB3, John Carter, et al…) have exhausted movie goers’ enthusiasm.

It will have a big opening weekend – but more like $70-80 Million big and not the $120-150 Million big of the previous Spidermans - and then a massive dropoff in the subsequent weeks.

It will probably clock out at just under $200Million North American and a little over $350 World-wide.
Not bad. but not Spiderman good.

FINALLY!   This looks like it’ll wipe away the memory of Spidey Dance 3.   Garfield’s casting looks golden right now.

Im not pleased. When they reboot spiderman again they will spend another million dollars for nice CGI….and nothing else…Did mention Transformers 2 was amazing? I refuse to buy in to this crap. Like the star wars 3D relaunch..pathetic.

Methinks they stole some of Nolans style with TDK. Not impressed.

    Blah blah blah

    You look cheap…booyah!

Nolan borrowed heavily from Michael Mann’s Heat while making TDK..  What is your point?? Oh wait, you don’t have a point.. Your just another Nolan/TDK fanboy that thinks Nolan was the first person to make a “serious/edgy/dark” comic book movie, so then every other director that has a hint of seriousness in their comic film must have “stolen” from the almighty Nolan…. Tool

Stop with the reboot griping.  How many times have our favorite heroes been rebooted in the comics themselves?  What about all the remakes of Shakespeare’s plays?  Should somebody have tried “Hamlet Part 2″?

Who besides the most rabid fanboy would go see some advanced plot Spidey with the Scarlet Spider, etc.?  They are trying to appeal to the broadest base possible.  If you are too sophisticated to ‘fall for that shit’, then you should be too sophisticated to come online and piss in everyone else’s soup.I think this looks like a lot of fun. It is cool to get another take on an established piece of fiction.  It will be an enjoyable 2 hours in the theater on a hot summer day…and that is all it is supposed to be.  If you look to a comic movie to redefine your life, and get disgusted when it doesn’t live up to your expectations…well then I don’t know where to even start with you.

Thats not so, but this film is yet another greedy cash grab. Youre just to stupid to see it.

My take on all this is they have decided to upgrade Spidey is this version. The slick suit, the computerized web shooters that light up when he’s using them, the boots etc. I’m cool with that. It’s basically an alternate universe re telling. Raimi’s movie were cool even though I’m not as in love with them as most are. Spidey 3 was wretched not sure if that was all his fault though. It was time to change things up a bit and get a different take on this character. Remember when Tim Burton did Batman in 89 everyone shitted themselves over Michael Keaton playing Bruce Wayne/ Bats. I think that turned out okay. So let’s wait and see. As far as the lizard’s design you really can’t get a good look at him to really judge. I’m guessing he’s snout-less because his character has dialogue and has to be animated to speak it while trying to still convey that he not only a reptile but a human being as well. The design may actually work onscreen. As far as the 3D goes I’ve never really had a problem with 3D with Avatar I thought it was very effective and cool not so much with alot of othe live action films. Works best in animated flicks to me. Spidey though could be just the right character for this medium  I’m willing to give it a try.

Well, I give this a solid, “Hmmm.”

Which is a considerable upgrade from my previous opinion.

Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt.

Sigh, again you prove to everyone that you are not wise at all…. You see Stupid_Man, all summer big budget movies are cash grab’s, wether they are good or not, including your beloved TDK… So please go back to your hole and hate their quietly and let the grown ups talk…

What are you an industry analyst?

What the hell are you basing your figures on?

    Let me guess, your intuition?

Do you have stock numbers from previous 3rd quarter releases?

Or let me guess, you’re using some linear equation to predict this?

    Wait, you’re clairvoyant?

Have you already knowledge of the movie’s quality or Sony’s advertisement campaign?

    No?
    I thought the fuck so.

hahahahahaha!  I can tell you that this will get my money, probably twice if this trailer is anything to go by.

yes, i wish that we didn’t have to sit through another hour or so of origin.  no, i don’t think that that means this = bad.  this looks great, actually.  i’m so glad i don’t have to watch a pretty good actor like toby maguire fumble a miscast role.  did i see peter sneaking around??  could he really have to do some legwork instead of just waiting around for a bad guy to kidnap mary jane, ruin a parade or rob a bank that he happens to be at?

The Dark Knight Returns is still in development and, like all animated DC projects, will be straight to video.

Looks great, though I will miss the Raimi style. I liked the light hearted characters and colorful tome. Aunt may and J Jameson were fantastic. This film, while it looks great, gritty and grown up with better action and more realistic CGI. Its the Parker family unit I’m sceptical of.

my two cents: “You’re all Idiots”  IMO it looks okay, sure the lizard looks like killer Croc and a Goomba form SMB the Movie. I Feel a bit cheated and spider-man is suppose to be funny, I didn;t chuckle or laugh a that aweful joke. but, thats one thing, the suit still hasn;t grown on me,but hey whatever, also i do see a shot that Sam Rami did, funny  form the guy who said he didn;t want to step on the shoe’s of the previous guy. all in all its going to be mondertly successful. then again this is kinda  like asking people why they like the show Revenge when I personally see it as pure crap. matter of Opinions folks.
