In the film a naval fleet gets trapped in some type of force-field/dome and is forced to take on an alien armada.

I have to admit, I was one of the haters when I heard they were making a movie based on the “Battleshipe” board game. Those trailers though, they make it look like a fun summer movie, which I’m all for. Do I think it’ll be good? Not a chance in hell, but a summer movie doesn’t need to be good, it needs to be escapist and make me forget its 90 friggin’ degrees outside. What I mean is a movie like this needs to understand its camp and embrace it. Let’s just hope that’s what the filmmakers were striving for.
