Once the trailer comes out for a film, it’s usually a downhill descent when it comes to the subsequent promotional material. But that material — an action figure here, a popcorn package there — must be kept up. Otherwise, ‘The Avengers’ could hit theaters on May 4 with less fanfare from its immense fan-base of grown men wearing superhero shirts from Bluenotes.
Below, from the Twitter account of RIMMK7, is a new banner from the film. It goes without saying that everybody’s mad. Thor, (Chris Hemsworth) the Incredible Hulk, (Mark Ruffalo) Iron Man, (Robert Downey Jr.) and Captain America (Chris Evans) are all raising their fists to an invisible enemy, presumably one that will mirror them on another banner. That would actually be an exciting one. Who would they be faced off against besides Loki? (Tom Hiddleston) Maybe some little Skrulls backing him up with Thanos just chilling in the back end?
In case you’ve missed it, hit up this link to view the 10-second Super Bowl advertisement for the film. It’s very exciting stuff. The lovely eye-candy of the film, Scarlett Johansson makes a brief appearance as Black Widow. There’s also some equally as exciting IMAX news for those who are into it.
‘The Avengers’ assemble at the call of director Joss Whedon. The poor guy’s kind of been ignored in this particular post, but starring with the above aforementioned is Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye. That’s what happens when you’re the guy with the bow-and-arrow among a group of demigods and billionaires. Samuel L. Jackson gets in there too as Nick Fury.
