Everybody laughed when Justin Timberlake decided to try his hand at acting, but after roles in Alpha Dog and The Social Network, it turns out the kids got some chops. At Least Clint Eastwood thinks so. Variety is reporting Timberlake will most likely sign on for Eastwood’s Trouble With the Curve.
Now, Eastwood isn’t directing this, his producing buddy Robert Lorenz is, but let’s be honest here. If Eastwood didn’t approve of casting JT, then JT wouldn’t be cast.
In the film Clint plays a baseball scout with eye problems who travels to Atlanta with his daughter (Amy Adams) to check out a prospect. If he signs on Timberlake will play Johnny Flanagan, a friend of Eastwood’s character and a former pitcher who is now a recruiter for the Yankees.
Isn’t this the role Matthew Lillard was going to take, or am I mistaken? I guess those negotiations fell through.
