The Lone Ranger just finished its first week of shooting in Albuquerque, New Mexico and producer Jerry Bruckheimer was kind enough to have someone else update us on his blog. You didn’t expect him to write it himself, he’s a busy dude. This blog entry comes courtesy of Danielle.

Week 1

We have just completed our first week of filming in Albuquerque, and after a touch and go pre-production, things are going great!

We have an amazing group of cast and crew.

Our first day of filming went great, but came with many obstacles. On day 1, one of our Special Effects guys measured winds of 70mph!!

However, we made it through that first windy day and the rest of the week went by very smoothly and successfully.

The Lone Ranger comes from the same team that brought us the first three Pirates of the Caribbean films.

I am sort of looking forward to this. I had fun with the first two Pirates films and this looks to be in that same vein.
