Most anticipated movie of the year…?
    Ya, no.

    A 17 second teaser of a trailer, that’s a teaser for a movie.
    Annoying hyperbole.

  • Grey_Pilgrim

This is like the friend of your local cocktease telling you that she is going to tease your cock later. Whatever, I’ll take what I can get.

    Now there’s trailers for trailers!?!
    WTF!

Damn, beat me to it. But yes, most anticipated movie of the years is quite the stretch. Maybe if you don’t count Batman, Avengers, Spider-man, Hobbit…..

Movie still looks great, though. Can’t wait.

  • rsixsmith

i would say this and the hobbit are equally my most anticipated films of the year.  in any case, it’s looking like we may have an awesome year for movies about to start.  last year had some real letdowns- i’m looking at you, green lantern and transformers- and some pretty good ones.  nothing great, though.  i haven’t seen one trailer this year that plays more like a forewarning than anything else.  at least not among the big sci-fi, fantasy and comic movies.  true, past years have taught me managed expectations, but this year it’s harder.

  • Grey_Pilgrim

Agreed.  Prometheus, Hobbt pt 1, AND DK Rises then in 2013  Man Of Steel and Hobbit pt 2: Bilbo Bugaloo

  • rsixsmith

yeah, man of steele is one that i’m really excited about, if only because you know zack snyder is action happy. finally a live action superman with awesome fights.  i’m not even that bothered by the choice to use zod as the major villain. with nolan and goyer on the story and screenplay, it should be in good hands as far as the plot.

i’m definitely looking foreward to the dark knight rises, and i know it’s bound to be a great ride.  it’s just that nolan’s “real” milieu isn’t my preferred interpretation of the comic to film.  batman’s a freakin gymnast martial arts master.  even though he’s not superpowered, he should be doing things that no ordinary guy can do in a context that allows or encourages suspension of disbelief. same thing goes for the villains.  you could easily remove the batman from nolan’s movies and still have great action thrillers called ‘the vigilante’ or something- it’s just not really batman.

You say that because you know nothing about the film or its
origins. Batman and the rest of the movies mentioned like Avengers, Spider-man,
and Hobbit will be successful because of their fan base. Yeah Batman will rake
in a lot of dough but because of its fan base which the same could be said
about this film. I’m pretty sure same people who don’t concur that this is one
high profile and anticipated film of its genre, are the same ones watching PG13
kid flicks like John Carter and Hunger Games lol. What a joke!

  • AICN_Douche

    A little harsh Roberto. :(
I was in the theatre (as a kid) when Alien came out 1st run.
    I love Ridley’s (and then Cameron’s further) creation(s)…
One can love both ‘fan base’ films & classics revisited.
    Cheers.
