Haven’t seen it yet, but I’ve heard a lot of “how can they do a sequel” talk.

To which I have to give a wild guess that they could do what most horror sequels do: pull the same shit, with different characters.

    **SPOILERESQUE**

The film allowed for a sequel with one character stating he planned to use his abilities for good.
Add to that the “covering up” of the mysterious artefact and my theory for a sequel is that some government agency or corporation has the artefact, creates some super-powered types that they can’t control and the character for the first film is obliged to stop them. Could work.

Honestly this movie was just fine as a stand alone film BUT if they do a sequel they could make it work. At the end of the movie Matt talked about how he was gonna use his abilities to help people so it could focus on him evolving into a hero of sorts as well as exploring the origins of the artifact. If Landis and Trank work on the sequel as well then I’m sure the story at least will be coherent

I thought the film was well done and definitely left itself open for a sequel.  This was the first “found footage” flick I’ve seen that I actually liked.  This and Project X (which I also liked) give me some optimism for this particular film genre.
