UPDATE: The links are now LIVE and using your Facebook and/or Twitter account you can access a bunch of the Weyland site, including stills of the least emotive robot capable of emotion, David. Still unclear what we did with all those 1s and 0s on our image, but it looks like we got “Confidence.” Damn right we have confidence.
(fingers crossed we get “shame,” fingers crossed we get “shame”)
The Prometheus viral campaign has been rumbling about the internet, mostly releasing images of coolness with the occasional fake TED video from the future-past. Today we help bring it into the next step – artificial intelligence.
Ever since Ian Holm’s Ash, there has been a line of artificial beings in the Alien universe. They started simple and company-focused, then grew (through Lance Henrikson’s Bishop) into an abbreviated mythology point with Winona Ryder (Call), who was a class of android built by androids.
Point, being Michael Fassbender’s Prometheus character, David, is one of the earliest, most dazzling versions of the artificial life of this universe, and today we get to take a peek at it. Perhaps you saw the Wall Street Journal ad?
David 8 has been released. Maybe you caught his birthday video where he promised to do all the unethical things you want?
Today, Latino Review is partnering with Prometheus and 7 other sites to reveal the emotions the David 8 is capable of. Beyond that, I’m just as much in the dark as you are.
Head over to ProjectPrometheus.com to take a look at some of the sweet equipment Weyland Industries is making for their trip (vehicles! space ships! androids!) and the David introduction video.
To the right of the David banner advertisement is a hexagon that says “Get The Access Code” inside of it. That takes you to the David subsite at https://www.weylandindustries.com/site/david
Let me know if typing all those 1s and 0s works for you.
So take the code and go!

These ones and zeros are going to unlock something Fass-tastic.
