Red Carpet News was at the premier of Safe and took a moment to chat with producer Stuart Ford about his next film, the reboot of Judge Dredd titled simply, Dredd. You can see the video below.

In the brief interview Ford tells us just about everything we want to hear when it comes to a new Dredd film. Here are some of the highlights:

1. Dredd stays truer to the comic than the Sylvester Stallone film

2. It’s gritty and dark, with great visuals and propulsive score

3. Fan boys and action film fans will all be pleased with the film

4. Karl Urban is great as Dredd and he NEVER takes his helmet off

This all sounds good to me, but we still need a trailer to gt a feel for how Urban actually plays Dredd. Still pics are nice, but I want to see him in action.
