Luke Evans Is The Bad Guy In ‘Fast Six’

Variety is confirming that Luke Evans has been offered the lead villain role in Fast Six. It was earlier reported Evans was in contention for the part, but he needed to work out some scheduling issues with Peter Jackson and his Hobbit films before he could commit. The issues have been sorted out and Evans will face off against Vin Diesel, Paul Walker and Dwayne Johnson on May 24, 2013.

Fast Six, the sixth (!) film the the Fast and the Furious franchise will be directed by Justin Lin, who also directed the last three entries. Chris Morgan is writing the screenplay, just as he has for all of the previous films.
What do you think of Evans as the antagonist this time around? Personally, I don’t even care who the bad guy is. This movie belongs to Diesel, Walker and Johnson. In fact, I can’t even remember any of the previous villains.
