Mike Markus tipped us off to a new poster for Killing Me Softly starring Brad Pitt. You can see it below.
I have to say, I like this image quite a bit. It’s simple, yet says a lot about the feel and tone of the film.
Director Andrew Dominik also gave us a reason he changed the title from Cogan’s Trade:
“Brad’s character calls what he does ‘killing them softly’ — with a minimum of fuss. It sounded like a movie title to me. Cogan’s Trade kind of sounds like a Clint Eastwood title to me from 1972.”
There’s nothing wrong with 70s Eastwood, but I understand Dominik’s decision. At first I wasn’t crazy about the new title, but it’s starting to grow on me.
Killing Me Softly hits theatres September 21st.
