See Six Minutes of ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’

If you’re a fan of The Amazing Spider-Man on Facebook then you received some news on a sneak peek of the movie. If you’re not a Facebook fan of Spidey then don’t worry, LR has you covered:

See an exclusive 6-minute sneak peek of The Amazing Spider-Man when you experience Men In Black in IMAX 3D starting Thursday at Midnight!

Yes, there will be a six minute IMAX preview before MIB3.

“The Amazing Spider-Man” is the story of Peter Parker (Garfield), an outcast high schooler who was abandoned by his parents as a boy, leaving him to be raised by his Uncle Ben (Sheen) and Aunt May (Field). Like most teenagers, Peter is trying to figure out who he is and how he got to be the person he is today. Peter is also finding his way with his first high school crush, Gwen Stacy (Stone), and together, they struggle with love, commitment, and secrets. As Peter discovers a mysterious briefcase that belonged to his father, he begins a quest to understand his parents’ disappearance – leading him directly to Oscorp and the lab of Dr. Curt Connors (Ifans), his father’s former partner. As Spider-Man is set on a collision course with Connors’ alter-ego, The Lizard, Peter will make life-altering choices to use his powers and shape his destiny to become a hero.

The Amazing Spider-Man swings into theatres July 3rd, but if Sony keeps giving us four and six minute previews, you may be able to piece the whole flick together on your MAC.

I’m already sold! Took some time getting there, but I’m actually looking forward to this movie now. The Spidey action looks better than the other films, though I like the Parker lifestyle/family/etc.. of the Raimi films.

FX look way better and the contrast between man in suit and cgi spidey looks seemless, unlike the dated fx of the last films.

BUT, why is hollywood ruining these films by showing us SIX minuits of a film? Its bad enough trailers show too much, and often show us twists, plot points etc.. Who the hell is in charge of marketing over there now? Fire them! John Carter was ruined because of marketing, and I think TDKR wont have many surprises left neither. I wish HULK was not shown in trailers at all, and promethius looks like were gonna watch all the talky bits between what weve seen.

They’re doing it in an attempt to grab fans interest and to try to convince them that if they had any doubts on how good it would be, they shouldn’t.

Nolan was the first to do it, and now Marc Webb is posing like a mo. The “amazing” spiderman isn’t going to be anywhere near the class of The Dark Knight Rises, and they should stop trying to make it seem like their 6 minutes of film they’re going to show is gonna blow us away like Nolan’s prologues have.

6 min previews have been around for a while… Nolan is not the first. I love DK and what Nolan has been doing with his trilogy but by no means is he the only one who is allowed to do this. This is also info about the preview of a movie not if its going to be better than DKR. Troll more DK fanboy.

Nolan called he wants his style back, he said you can keep the emo and his skateboard though.
