You folks ready for a series of “Latino (HYPHEN!) Review slowly reports on everything there is to know about ‘Iron Man 3′?” Because that’s what’s going to happen! I might even make a new banner one of these days, who knows?

Filming in underway in Wilmington, North Carolina, the budget has been raised, Jon Favreau is in as Happy, Firepower got added as a character (but likely won’t actually be Firepower - see the Coldblood parallel).

Yesterday, Guy Pearce (who will be playing Aldrich Killian) graced Wilmington for a costume fitting along with a familiar face that is as-yet-unreported.

Who was that blond man wandering around the ‘Iron Man 3′ stages?

Why it was WILLIAM SADLER!

No word yet on who Sadler is on hand to portray, but it seems like he was around for a costume fitting, similar to Pearce.

With the addition of Firepower to Coldblood-7 and the shadow of the Mandarin looming over the production, it’s starting to look like Ben Kingsley is going to inject some proto-Extremis into characters named after old comic villains.

A movie that had both Coldblood-7, Mandarin AND Firepower would be over-packed, so look for James Badge Dale and Ashley Hamilton to be villains, but not in robo-cop and Iron Man suits respectively.

Adding Firepower to the flick does seem like it fits into the greater picture, as Firepower was able to defeat Stark in the comics, forcing him to go put a new suit on. We’ll likely see something like this, only with Extremis.

ONE MORE THING – Word is there are multiple writers on set besides writer/director Shane Black to keep the flick headed in a unified direction. Robert Downey Jr is notoriously improvisational and even though he and Shane Black did great work together in ‘Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang,’ this is supposed to be the next big Marvel movie.

No word yet on which scribes are actually on set, just that there are multiples. I’d guess Drew Pearce is among them (British TV show No Heroics and the upcoming Runaways movie that’s been mired in development hell), seeing as he was the initial sole writer on ‘Iron Man 3′ before it was announced that Shane Black would be taking a more active role.

I’d also guess some Marvel brain-trust writers are on hand, but – THIS IS A GUESS. All I’m saying is that ‘Iron Man 3′ might tie into a bunch of movies, so why not start sharing the writers now?

Anywho – big news is William Sadler is bringing some great “hey! it’s that guy!” cred to the ‘Iron Man 3′ casting.
