You can stop, Batman.
Anytime you want, you can stop releasing really vague imagrey from ‘The Dark Knight Rises.’
You guys heard of this movie? Christopher Nolan is directing it? The threequel to ‘Batman Begins’ and ‘The Dark Knight?’ Christian Bale as Batman, Anne Hathaway as Catwoman, Joseph Gordon Levitt as a probably-good-guy-maybe-Batman-surrogate Officer Blake. Gary Oldman as Commissioner Gordon? Tom Hardy as Muffled Bane? Any of this ring a bell?
Of course it does, because we’ve been reporting re-photoshops of the same half-dozen press images probably taken before principal photography completely finished.
Movie comes out July 20th.
Take these two new banners we found on Cine1.com.ar : Batman’s cape might not even light on fire during the movie. And we’re pretty aware from previous advertising that, yes, Batman will fight Bane. Outside!
But, hey!, just in case your weren’t going to see this movie with everyone else on July 20th, here two more banners.
Don’t take my tone the wrong way, this film’s ad campaign is still tons better than The Avenger’s photoshop vomit that movie had to deal with the last two months before it came out.
Why do we need so many banners and posters? Remember the first Batman? The Tim Burton one? People were getting the logo shaved into the side of their heads. Yeah, it was the 80s, but all Batman needs is one iconic image. Not every single character against a grey rain.
