Christopher Nolan Wants To Direct A Bond Film?

It seems like every time a high profile director is asked which film he would love to direct James Bond is almost always mentioned. Spielberg, Tarantino and, I think, even Scorsese have all mentioned a desire to direct the martini sipping spy. Now, you can add Christopher Nolan to the mix.

The Playlist is reporting Nolan has expressed interest in helming an entry in the franchise.
Nolan:

“It would have to be the right situation and the right time in their cycle of things.”

What does this mean? Playlist seems to think Nolan is saying he’d want to recast and reboot the series. I think it’s more a matter of scheduling and time. Nolan isn’t a hired gun director, he’s a filmmaker. He likes to write, direct and produce his work. Warner Brothers smartly gave Nolan creative control over the Batman franchise. Would the Broccoli’s do the same? I doubt it.
We may see a Nolan directed Bond film at some point in the future, but not anytime soon. Personally, I’d rather see him concentrate on his original films.

    STFU NOLAN

Well the “winter fortress” action sequence in Inception was totally Bond-like (from the Moore-Dalton-Brosnan era), so he’s already had some practice in that style of film making.

I would love to see what he’d bring to a Bond movie. I feel like he’d go for the more Connery/Bronson style as opposed to the Craig style of Bond.

@Marcus. Who the hell is Bronson? LOL!

It was directly influenced by On Her Majesty’s Secret Service, which is neither Moore, Dalton, Brosnan, Craig, or Connery for that matter.
