‘Captain America 2′ Might Be Directed By The Russo Brothers

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Anthony and Joe Russo are close to finalizing a deal to direct the sequel to “Captain America: The First Avenger” for Marvel Studios.

The second installment will pick-up where the highly anticipated “Marvel’s The Avengers” leaves off, as Steve Rogers continues his affiliation with Nick Fury and S.H.I.E.L.D and struggles to embrace his role in the modern world.

The Russo’s are actually known for their work in comedy, having directed “You Me & Dupree” and being directors and executive producers on the NBC comedy “Community.”

IF the Russo brothers direct the film it will be from a screenplay by Stephen McFeely

‘Captain America 2′ is set to hit theaters on April 2014.

    While this may seem like a shitty idea right now, seeing how successful the Avengers is, I don’t think that the House of Mouse and Marvel would put someone behind the scenes that they didn’t think could do the job.

    Then Community (not Carpoolers, ugh)…
    And arguably, Happy Endings, if one’s flavor.

    It’s weird they do ‘pilot’ episodes together…
    Then split up & do separate ep’s of TV series.
