Universal Is Moving Forward With A ‘Snow White and the Huntsman’ Sequel

Snow White and the Huntsman opened to more than $50 million dollars last weekend, so it should come as no surprise that Universal wants to make a sequel.

Deadline is reporting Uni wants to fast track the sequel and has already hired David Koepp (Jurassic Park, Spider-Man) to write the sequel. They’re also in talks with Huntsman director Rupert Sanders to return for the sequel. The cast has options for two more films, so there’s no problem there.

What did you think of Snow White and the Huntsman?

I liked it a lot. Charlize Theron, Chris Hemsworth and the dwarfs were great. Kristen Stewart was her usual disinterested, sleepy eyed self, but she was just good enough that she didn’t weigh down the entire film.

Do you want a sequel? Personally, I’d like to see were they can take the story.

Out of principal, I don’t watch movies with Kristen Stewart in its cast. Twilight aside, I just find her to be a horrible actress. In fact, I think she is the worst female actor currently in Hollywood. I’d rather sit through a Rob Schneider movie than any film with Stewart on its roster. Man, she just sucks.

Actually her acting was really well suited for the Cake Eaters.  I have seen other films with her and I don’t particularly like her but in that film she seemed a good fit. I actually enjoyed the movie. It wasn’t a Feel good movie but a well done piece just the same.

The only good thing about this movie was Charlize Theron as Ravenna, but she’s dead now so unless they bring her back I’m not interested in another movie.

    Exactly…
The dead shall rise, and all…
Ravenna, will have her (sexy-evil) revenge.

Better yet, just make a movie about Ravenna…
    The Evil Queen, et al.

    Also, Theron makes that chick…
On ABC’s ‘Once Upon A Time’ look like sh*t.
Let alone Julia Roberts buffoonery in Mirror Mirror.
A Charlize, how do you do cold & sexy SO well?!?

I personally liked the movie quite a bit just thought that it could’ve been so much better with a more experienced director. Also, I’m probably in the minority on this, but I actually thought Kirsten Stewart was good in this and really held her own with everyone else. She had a few Bella moments but for the most part she played the part well, especially towards the final act when her character really came into her own. She’ll probably never be Oscar worthy but I think she’s a good actress outside of Twilight (thought she was great in The Runaways, Cake Eaters & Welcome to the Rileys). I’d be willing to see a sequel if they learned from their mistakes in the first movie but I just simply don’t know where they’d go with the story since the ending was very cut and dry.

I liked the movie, the director made a good start for his first feature, great casting, sets, creature design, the only issue I had was the ending, was just anti-climatic, just stabbing the queen was a super boring death blow, the queen could of turned into a demon, and the troll should of joined in the fight with all the soldiers against ravenna. would of liked the see where the magical mirror came from.

I was very pleased with Theron’s sexy evilness.  Stewart’s performance was subpar & she’ll get better after twilight,  in the scene where she was poisoned i swear i was waiting for her to turn into a vampire.  Also would’ve liked to see more of the mirror & backstory to ali that instead of the quick flashback.  And last i also think that the “nature” aspect of the film should’ve been apart of the epic battle scene by including the troll, fairies, & a few of the other creatures we saw.
