‘Iron Man 3′ continues to shoot over in Wilmington, North Carolina and it’s surrounding areas, and if that isn’t enough reason to post an ‘Iron Man 3′ update, the Las Vegas Licensing Expo 2012 is happening, and the IM3 team needs some official art to pimp their movie.
It means, among other things, that I can now replace the janky “3″ I chose in my Iron Man Banner-making font search in favor of the official, Disney Iron Man Font “3.” HEY! These things are important for design!
The new poster debuted via ComingSoon.net along with a TON of other Hi-Rez images of new poster art and a good look at Jor-El wear.
Note the faint gold on the shoulders then move on to this banner (via CBM) that looks to share the new official font, so it’s likely also part of Marketing Push V1.0.
Here’s the thing about that banner though. It has the new logo, but it also shows the new armor.
That’s right, there hasn’t been any yellow on the shoulders of any previous film Iron Man Armors. I know because the first still released from IM3 was…all the armors. I’m not saying this is the Extremis armor, but I am saying this lines up with the reports we’ve been getting about the stages of evolution in Iron Man’s armors (like the emphasis on gold this film).
New Armor count on IM3 – TWO. (Did you miss #1?)
Actually on set, The Daily Mail has been shoveling out those Splash photo service dollars to watermark unflattering pictures of actors walking to and from set.
Via them, we get our first looks at Gwyneth Paltrow holding a coffee, phone AND iPad at the same time while making a very flattering face. We also get our first look at Jon Favreau’s Happy “in costume.”
And most thrillingly, Guy Pearces’ villain Aldrich Killian is too important to wear socks:
SOCKS-LESS! BIG NEWS. You can look at more shots over HERE.
Talkin’ Bout Marvel: They cancelled Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes on Disney in favor of rebooting the Avengers franchise in 2013 with more movie-like characters. Which is interesting, because Earth’s Mightest had Black Panther but Avengers 2013 series will have…Falcon?
Do I have to start worrying about a Falcon movie now or is he useless like Nova in Ultimate Spider-Man?
