With all the actors fleeing Quentin Tarantino’s Django Unchained, it’s nice to have one return.
Jonah Hill was originally offered the role of Scotty Harmony, the man who loses Django’s (Jamie Foxx) wife Broomhilda (Kerry Washington) to Calvin Candie (Leonardo DiCaprio) in a card game, setting off the plot of the film. Hill was forced to turn down the role due to scheduling conflicts.
Deadline is now reporting that Hill has once again been asked to play a part in Django, this time accepting. He won’t, however, be playing Harmony. At this time, his character is unknown.
Hill is having quite the year. He was nominated for Best Supporting Actor for his role in Moneyball, his comedy remake of 21 Jump Street, which he wrote and produced, was a hit grossing more than $100 million domestically and now he has roles in new films from Tarantino and Martin Scorsese… Wow!
Django Unchained will hit theatres Christmas Day.
