CAA Signs ‘Tarzan’ Screenwriter Adam Cozad

If you haven’t heard of screenwriter Adam Cozad, you probably will over the next few years. The important thing to Cozad is that CAA does know of him, as he just signed with them.

Why are they so interested? While not yet having written any produced screenplays, he does have a bunch of high profile projects in the works.
First there’s Moscow, Paramount’s Jack Ryan reboot, which will be directed  by Kenneth Branagh and star Star Trek‘s Chris Pine.
Next he has adapted author Mark Greaney’s The Gray Man for New Regency. James Gray will direct with Brad Pitt in the lead.
Cozad has also written an adaptation of Tarzan for Warner Bros. This one has drawn interest from directors David Yates (the last four Harry Potter films), Gary Ross (The Hunger Games) and Susannah White (Nanny McPhee Returns).
Lastly, Cozad has an original extraterrestrial thriller called Archangel that’s being produced by Ridley and Tony Scott’s Scott Free at New Regency with Tron: Legacy‘s Joseph Kosinky attached.
Like I said, if you haven’t heard of Cozad before this, you’ve heard of him now; and you’ll probably be hearing a lot more about him in the near future.

    This is as interesting as…
    HEADLINE: Sh*t… Still Smells!

    I’ll care, when he’s a produced entity…
Viewable by me…. “Rabble, rabble, rabble…”
