Keira Knightly is back in a new period drama from her Pride and Prejudice and Atonement director Joe Wright. This time around the duo are bringing us Anna Karenina, based on the classic novel by Leo Tolstoy. You can see the new trailer and poster below.

Here’s the synopsis for the novel from Wikipedia:

Anna Karenina is the tragedy of married aristocrat and socialite Anna Karenina and her affair with the affluent Count Vronsky. The story starts when she arrives in the midst of a family broken up by her brother’s unbridled womanizing—something that prefigures her own later situation, though with less tolerance for her by others.

Anna Karenina hits theatres November 9th. The film also stars Jude Law, Aaron Johnson and Kelly Macdonald.
