‘Rise of the Planet of the Apes’ Writers Hired for ‘Jurassic Park 4’

It’s the return to Jurassic Park. Again.

Universal Pictures is returning to one of the most successful franchises with a fourth installment to “Jurassic Park.”

The studio tapped Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver to write the script for “Jurassic Park 4.” Jaffa and Silver co-wrote last year’s surprise hit “Rise of the Planet of the Apes.”

Deadline also mentioned director Steven Spielberg will not be at the helm for the fourth film despite the other three films. However, it will be produced by Kathleen Kennedy and Spielberg.

The original movie was based off the best-selling novel written by Michael Crichton.

    This is good news. I know some people will complain but I still want to see mare Dino park adventures from this series.

    Great news!
    My biggest wish has always been a huge return to the original PARK! Revamped, more secure and open to the public. Maybe with some of those tunnels like in Jaws 3, for visitors. Then some catastrophe happens and everyone ends up scattered over the island.

    Its potential could be huge spanning its own trilogy. Army etc gets called in etc etc.. rather than just a few characters and an innevitable annoying kid.

    DINO’S!!! I am such a sucker for these flicks. Probably because the orignal novel and film are two of my favorite childhood memories. I still don’t like either 2nd installment very much, but overall the concept has yet to lose its sheen for me.
