Set Photos of Angelina Jolie as ‘Maleficent’

With the production announcement and first official photo released of “Maleficent” this week, several photos have surfaced on the Internet of actress Angelina Jolie on the set.

The photos show her in the long brown flowing robes carrying a staff and with the recognizable horns on top of her head.

“Maleficent” will be the untold story from the 1959 Disney classic tale “Sleeping Beauty.” The film reveals the events that hardened her heart and drove her to curse the baby, Aurora.

Co-starring in the film are Sharlto Copley (“District 9”), Elle Fanning (“Super 8”), Sam Riley (“On the Road”), Imelda Staunton (“Vera Drake”), Miranda Richardson (“The Hours”), Juno Temple (“Atonement”) and Lesley Manville (“Secrets & Lies”).

The 3D live-action movie is set to be released on March 14, 2014.

    Very things looks cheesy in real life. What do you expect still shots from the Avengers of Transformers looked like, prior to post production?

    Personally I think it looks great.

    In the original story Maleficent is Aurora’s actual mother. There were no good fairies. There were 13 wives. The King was not able to produce children but
    Maleficent had a secret moment with a toad (lowly servant) while bathing and produced Aurora. This is why she was not invited to her own child’s coming out party. The King wanted to keep the child for himself locked away until she was of age.
