New Poster For ‘Alex Cross’ With Tyler Perry And Matthew Fox

In the film Perry plays the title detective in hot pursuit of Fox’s villain.

The role of Cross was originated on screen by Morgan Freeman in Along Came A Spider and Kiss the Girls. This is the odd role for Perry being that, other than a cameo in J. J. Abrams’ Star Trek, Perry has only appeared in his own films. I’m assuming the material here is a lot darker than anything we’ve seen him do before, so the result should interesting if nothing else.

Alex Cross was directed by Rob Cohen (The Fast and the Furious). In addition to Perry and Fox the film also stars Edward Burns, Rachel Nichols and Jean Reno. You can catch it in theatres October 19th.

    neither do i. but then, i didn’t think morgan freeman was exactly right for it either. s.l. jackson is kinda overexposed (and old now). perry could be good though. why do they so rarely go with unknowns?

    Same here. Maybe denzel..but he already did something similiar in the movie with angelina jolie(when she actually ate food) where he was crippled., too lazy to look up the title of the movie.

    I could care less Denzel is the man I wanna see him be awesome like in Safe House. Tyler Perry sucks, he is only good at being Madea and thats done to death.
