The Last Voyage of the Demeter has been stalled in production since 2004, when it was announced. Last May Neil Marshall (The Decent, Centurion) is now attached to direct, and we may even have a lead actor.
Bloody Disgusting is reporting that an offer has gone out to Viggo Mortensen for the role of Henry Clemens, the lead part in the film.
Ben Kingelsy and Noomie Rapace were also attached. While, Kingsley, who will play the Demeter’s captain, is still a go, Rapace’s involvement is unclear at this point.
For those unfamiliar with the Demeter, it is the ship that carried Count Dracula from Transylvania to London.
