Angela Bassett has signed up for Olympus Has Fallen, the “Die Hard in the White House” action film directed by Antoine Fuqua.

Gerard Butler stars in the film as a secret service agent who must stop North Korean terrorists from detonating a nuclear bomb in the USA. Aaron Eckhart was recently cast as the president and Bassett will be  playing the head of the Secret Service.

Fuqua is directing from a script by first timers Creighton Rothenberger and Katrin Benedikt.

Fuqua certainly is getting a good cast together for Olympus. It will be nice to see Butler in another action flick. Let’s hope this is good and makes some bank. Who knows, it could turn into a franchise for him.
