Attention LR readers! We have reached that point in Hollywood’s movie making evolution when Jim Belushi vehicles are viable remake options.
These are dark days indeed.
The bright side is that the remake can’t be any worse than the original.
Comedian Kevin Hart (representing Philly yo!) has signed on to star in a remake of About Last Night. He will be taking a role originated by Belushi.
The original movie stars Rob Lowe and Demi Moore as a couple trying to have an affair.
Try not to get too excited about his one. I know you were all salivating waiting for news on this remake, but so far Hart is the only actor cast. I guess Screen Gems knew Belushi would be the hardest actor to replace so they did that first. What they didn’t realize is that Elizabeth Perkins was also in About Last Night and now they have the Herculean task of finding an actress with a mountain of talent as large as Perkins.
Good luck, guys!
