Screen Gems’ Think Like A Man, starring Kevin Hart, was a surprise success at the box office raking in $91 million domestically, so it’s no surprise they’re planning a sequel.

From the press release:

Screen Gems is moving forward with a sequel to the box office success THINK LIKE A MAN based on the  #1 New York Times Best Seller written by Steve Harvey, “Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man” which to date has grossed over $91 million at the domestic box office.  The sequel will be written by Keith Merryman & David A. Newman who penned the screenplay for the first film currently in theatres.  THINK LIKE A MAN was released on April 20, 2012 and was the top ranked film of the weekend with a domestic gross of $33.6 million.

Will Packer will produce via his Rainforest Films banner.  Harvey will serve as executive producer on the project alongside Rushion McDonald and Rob Hardy.

I haven’t seen the first film, but, from what I hear, it was pretty decent. I’ll have to check it out when the DVD hits.

    It was honestly a lot better than I’d expected it to be and I’d even go as far as to call it a good movie. With that being said though, this does NOT need a sequel and I won’t be seeing it.

    True, but this has a “dedicated” audience. How do you think Tyler Perry can re release his crappy Madea films over and over again and mix in other sloppy films and still make money? So yea brace for part 3 and 4.
