SDCC 2012: ‘Frankenweenie’ Homage Trailer

Walt Disney Pictures released this new “Homage” Trailer that was just unveiled during the San Diego Comic-Con panel for Tim Burton’s upcoming stop-motion animated film “Frankenweenie.” Based on one of Burton’s early shorts.

The film has the voice talents of Winona Ryder, Catherine O’Hara, Martin Short, Martin Landau, Atticus Shaffer, Conchata Ferrell, and Tom Kenny.

“Frankenweenie” is due out in theaters on October 5, 2012.

“Frankenweenie” is a heartwarming tale about a boy and his dog. After unexpectedly losing his beloved dog Sparky, young Victor harnesses the power of science to bring his best friend back to life—with just a few minor adjustments. He tries to hide his home-sewn creation, but when Sparky gets out, Victor’s fellow students, teachers and the entire town all learn that getting a new “leash on life” can be monstrous.

Saw the trailer earlier on collider, and it looks absolutely amazing!! Tim Burton back on oldschool form at last. This looks like his best work since Ed Wood.
