That ‘Voltron’ Movie Is Still Limping Around

I’ve been hearing rumors of a Voltron for longer than I can remember. They started before the Transformers franchise came about but petered off. Until, that is, Transformers made a ton of cash and giant fighting robots became a marketable commodity. The rumors shrunk again until last years SDCC when the Voltron people said they were working on a feature film.

Now, at this year’s Con, they claim to still be moving forward with it.

When asked bout the movie, this is what World Events Productions vice president Robert Koplar had to say:

It’s currently in development with Relativity Media. Josh Oppenheimer and Thomas Donnelly are working on the script and they have some cool ideas. It’s going to be a big action adventure flick and we’re really excited about it. We have some talented producers on it.

You have to wonder, how will Pacific Rim affect Voltron? Word out of SDCC is the footage shown was pretty awesome.

Do you think Rim will kill Voltron?
