Alfred Gough and Miles Millar May Pen ‘The Machine’ for Vin Diesel

MGM is close to a deal to bring “Smallville” creators Alfred Gough and Miles Millar to write the script of “The Machine.”

The film will star Vin Diesel in the action comedy about a human-like machine to be the ultimate weapon that this world has never seen before. However, the Pentagon buried the secrets of the machine, which was later uncovered by a child. The ultimate weapon ended up protecting the child’s family from the government that wanted to decommission the machine.

The original script was written by Thomas Lennon and Robert Ben Garant. Diesel is also producing through his company called One Race Films.

According to Deadline, “The Machine” is planned to be a franchise of films.
