‘Wolverine’ Tries on Hobo Chic in Additional Set Pics

Yesterday Latino-Review brought you some of the first on-set pictures of Hugh Jackman in Sydney, Australia, looking ripped, tan, and ready to run a 5K race.

Now we have a radically different look at the titular character in The Wolverine.

The best way I can describe Mr. Adamantium’s fashion sense is that he’d probably make the front cover of Skid Row Weekly.  Wearing layers of drab wooly winter clothes, and with overgrown frayed hair and a mountain-man beard, Jackman looks beyond worse for wear.

Don’t fret – looks like Wolverine is just going through a phase.  A short-lived one, too.

Funnily enough, Jackman’s new look seems just a tad inspired by Joaquin Phoenix’s look a few years back when he played himself in the faux documentary I’m Still Here.  Wolverine director James Mangold directed Phoenix in Walk the Line.

Production has transformed the small Australian town of Picton into what is supposed to be a desolate snow-covered burg in Canada.

2000’s X-Men found Wolverine marauding through the local fight bars in Canada.  Will this new Wolverine prequel directly tie into the first film in the X-Men series?  We’ll have to wait and see come next summer.
