‘Trouble with the Curve’ Trailer

Warner Bros. Pictures has released the trailer the upcoming baseball drama “Trouble with the Curve,” which stars Clint Eastwood, Amy Adams, Justin Timberlake, John Goodman, and Matthew Lillard.

It’s been a while since Clint Eastwood starred in a feature film that didn’t also require him to direct it.

Film is directed by Robert Lorenz from a screenplay written by Randy Brown.

“Trouble with the Curve” follows an aging Atlanta Braves baseball scout named Gus (Eastwood) who sets out to discover if he still has value as a scout and as dad. Gus brings his daughter (Adams) on his final scouting trip to scout a new top prospect. Along the way Gus reconnects with Johnny (Timberlake), a rival scout who has a friendly history with Gus, the man who scouted him when he was a baseball player. Johnny also has interest in his daughter, something Gus does not approve of.

Film is due out in theaters on September 21, 2012.

    It’s very rare that Hollywood still has talent like Clint Eastwood who still maintains a very strong presence on the screen, whether that’s in a movie theater or whether that’s in your home. From enjoying his earlier films (with my later father) with the Dirty Harry films to his westerns like The Outlaw Josey Wales, The Man With No Name Trilogy and many other of his great films … as Clint has gotten older, his work has gotten better.

    Space Cowboys, Gran Torino, Million Dollar Baby … and he continues to release great films that have become instant classics. Like Tom Hanks, Clint continues to bring a professionalism to the movie industry that such directors like James Cameron continue to show a lack of respect for.

    I hope Clint continues to make great films and I look forward to seeing this film.
