“I’m living on a vast plain of volcanic ash in the lee of a volcanic glacier. The commute to work is a hike up a mountain.”
So tweeted Russell Crowe, currently playing the titular ‘Noah’ in Darren Aronofsky’s directorial follow-up to ‘Black Swan.’ The Old Testament epic, however, has nothing to do with ballet and has a much more diverse cast with Jennifer Connelly as Noah’s wife Naameh, Ray Winstone as Noah’s enemy Tubal-Cain, Emma Watson as Noah’s adopted daughter, Ila, and Douglas Booth and Logan Lerman as his sons, Shem and Ham.
Noah is currently shooting in Iceland before moving to New York to finish up production.
Thanks to USAToday, we got our first official look of Crowe as the Biblical hero.
And it pretty much looks like Russell Crowe.
I don’t know what to expect from Noah, I just know that I trust Aronofsky to deliver something large come March 28th, 2014.
