Batman Will Be Rebooted In ‘The Justice League’?

DC and Warner Brothers are obviously trying to play catch up with Marvel. Sure, they may have had a head start with successful film adaptations of Superman and Batman, but that was nearly a generation ago. Marvel has been kicking ass with Iron Man, Thor, Captain America and the Hulk films, all leading up to The Avengers, which is the highest grossing superhero film all time. Meanwhile, with the exception of Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy, DC and WB haven’t really gotten anything off the ground.

Now, DC and WB are hoping to change that. They have Man of Steel, their Superman reboot, hitting theatres next summer and are planning a Justice League film in the near future.

With Christopher Nolan ending his Batman trilogy, everyone is wondering how DC/WB will reboot their most popular cinematic superhero. The guys over at Batman on Film may have our answer. They are reporting, from a trusted source, that Batman will be rebooted in The Justice League.

What does this mean? Possibly WB plans to go with a team movie and then individual films. Building a universe worked for Marvel, but it may be better for WB to go this route.

What do you think? A Batman reboot is inevitable, but is this the best way to go about it?

Quite frankly why the hell not hey? We’ve had enough Batman origin stories. This will be a decent way to start Batman off in a comicbook like way. Bring it on.

    THANK YOU!

I guess I can dig it. I really hope they cast Jon Hamm as Batman.

it’s not a question of whether this is the best way to go about it, but whether they will just effing go about it. they finally started to get their act together after iron man already had two movies out there along with thor and captain america. but warners is notorious for stalling projects that have a bad outing. yeah, green lantern missed the mark by a long shot, but why wouldn’t they just pick up and move on? start on flash, wonder woman, green lantern 2. make a better movie next time. can it really be so hard- with all of the writers out there- to come up with cool and kick ass material? my god, will i be SIXTY before i get to see on the silver screen a badass wonder woman stab an OMAC in the face? darkseid give superman a beating? or something?

I think they should take a page out of marvels book a little here , you have superman coming next year . It’s not to late to do an after Credit deal where Clark kent ( aka superman ) gets some kind of invitation with a bat sign on the front of the envelop .

It would let you know Bruce ( batman ) knows who superman is and has his eye out there on him . Making Bruce more like nick fury kind of character in the movies …

This would also let you setup other characters like John smith ( Martian man hunter ) to be a side character in the next movie ( a flash movie would be good ) as the detective out there helping on the side .. Again getting the same letter at the end or some kind of invite to some kind of big event ..

This would let dc take a path of marvels but with a faster setup time … Do 3 movies a year or two movies ..

Good casting, maybe better as Superman though,
    I also think

Jeffrey Dean Morgan would be perfect as the Batman.

    Doubtful.
    They’ll probably get some…
    Youngish late-20′s or early 30′s actor…

I love JDM intensely but that’s just terrible casting right there…

Well, in theory, Batman was rebooted at the end of TDKR, and they just easily have Joseph Gordon-Levitt in the Batman role.

  • Alex Lazar

Just saw Premium Rush and thou’ JGL would make a great Nightwing, I would’nt buy him as Batman.

  • Yo

Here’s the thing: These characters are (very) colourful…they have to limit that element, because people can think ‘is the circus in town’?? And Hawkman..i would count him out, because, (especially in that pic), he looks ridiculous
