Morgan Freeman and Elizabeth Banks Join That Lego Movie

Phil Lord and Chris Miller, the duo behind 21 Jump Street and Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs, are going full steam ahead with their animated Lego movie. They’ve cast Will Arnett as the voice of Batman and Chris Pratt as Emmett.

Morgan Freeman and Elizabeth Banks can now be counted as part of the voice cast. Banks’ character is unknown, but Freeman will be playing someone named Vetruvius.

Lego: The Piece of Resistance will tell the story of “an ordinary Lego mini-figure, mistakenly thought to be the extraordinary Master Builder, is recruited to join a quest to stop an evil Lego tyrant from gluing the universe together.”

Lord and Miller are directing from a script they wrote with Dan Hageman and Kevin Hageman.

Lego: The Piece of Resistance hits theatres February 28, 2014.
