Edgar Wright, Simon Pegg and Nick Frost have brought us two of the best comedies in recent years in Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz, and now they aim to finish they’re trilogy with The World’s End. As the trio get ready to start shooting the cast is rounding out, and Variety has just announced Paddy Considine has joined the film.
Considine, who also appeared in Fuzz, will play “a former ladies man and musician who has grown up to be a divorced architect.”
The World’s End tells the story of five friends who get back together for an epic pub crawl the will end at the fabled pub The World’s End. Throughout the night the guys try to reconcile the past and realize they are fighting to stop the end of civilization as we know it.
Wright is once again directing from a script he wrote with Pegg.
The World’s End hits theatres August 14, 2013.
