UPDATE: Those photos be from yesterday, today Chris Hemsworth showed up to be Thor and fight next to Sif, stomping and all. Scroll down to the bottom where I’ll add the new Thor-full images.

Chris Hemsworth has other things to do (playing James Hunt in ‘Rush’), but ‘Thor: The Dark World’ has commenced blowing up that set we previously posted pictures of.

Actress Jaimie Alexander (Sif, one of the Warriors Three, in the first ‘Thor’ and returning as Sif here) can be seen in Asgardian armor on horseback with a big and badass sword. Also around the hamlet are extras wearing masks, giving us our first (though, honestly kind of unfair) look at one of our villain classes.

Some weird Asgardian helmets are also in the battle along with dirtier, more evil-looking soldiers that may or may not be other-worldly creatures under their armor.

Malekith the Accursed (Christopher Eccleston) doesn’t make an appearance that we can tell. Nor do returning leading ladies Natalie Portman and Kat Dennings.

But they do have TONS OF SMOKE:

Directed by Alan Taylor (‘Game of Thrones‘), ‘Thor: The Dark World’ will hit theaters on November 8, 2013.
