‘Pirates of the Caribbean 5′ Is Happening, Just Not Yet

There were some rumors floating about the internet that Pirates of the Caribbean 5 was ready to set sail in front of cameras later this year in Puerto Rico, but that isn’t the case. Disney quickly said, while the film is in development, no shooting dates or locations have been set. Why not? The script isn’t finished.

Clint Morris at Movie Hole broke out his shovel, did some digging and received an interesting reply regarding possible plot lines:

Will Turner’s story might not be finished…

Is Orlando Bloom returning to the series? There’s no reason his Will Turner can’t return. When we we last saw Turner he took over as captain of the Flying Dutchman and is cursed to sail the seas for eternity only able to walk on land once every ten years. In Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End he used his first sojourn to impregnate Kiera Knightly. Not a bad way to spend a day on the beach, but his son is probably going to have some serious daddy issues.

With Turner roaming the seas, it wouldn’t be a huge leap for he and Jack Sparrow to cross paths again. Also, I’m guessing Bloom is itching to get into a movie people will actually see.

In the scene after the credits they showed Kiera Knightly was waiting for him 10 years later. I thought that meant he was free of his duty. Wasn’t that how it was supposed to work? Of course this could take place within that ten year time frame.

The curse was broken and Will was free of his duty because she waited for him for the 10 years. That is what should have happened to Davy Jones if Calypso had been there. This could take place in that 10 year time frame as well, we don’t exactly know when the last one took place in those 10 years.

Yes. the curse was broken and Will was free of his duty because she waited
for him for the 10 years. That is what should have happened to Davy
Jones if Calypso had been there. Other than that I agree completely.
