New Trailer for ’42′ With Harrison Ford

There’s a trailer for 42, the life story of Jackie Robinson, which you can see below.

Here’s the synopsis:

Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures are teaming up with director Brian Helgeland for “42,” the powerful story of Jackie Robinson, the legendary baseball player who broke Major League Baseball’s color barrier when he joined the roster of the Brooklyn Dodgers. “42″ will star Academy Award(R) nominee Harrison Ford (“Witness”) as the innovative Dodger’s general manager Branch Rickey, the MLB executive who first signed Robinson to the minors and then helped to bring him up to the show, and Chadwick Boseman (“The Express”) as Robinson, the heroic African American who was the first man to break the color line in the big leagues.

42 is scheduled to hit theatres April 12, 2013.

    Its a shame that The integration of baseball essentially ended the careers and business of the highly successful Negro leagues. Yes we should all Play together but Robinson wasn’t looked upon the same way between whites and blacks. In fact many African americans claimed Major League Baseball only integrated the sport in order to Destroy the competing negro leagues and take money away from Black owners, managers and players (most of whom never made the same leap that Robinson did into the MLB)
