A (Very) Few Plot Details for ‘Lobo’

The Grid updated their page for Lobo, the adaptation of the comic book starring Dwayne Johnson, with this log line:

Lobo, a powerful alien bounty hunter, lands on Earth in search of four fugitives who are bent on wreaking havoc.

It lists the producers as Joel Silver and Akiva Goldsman, with Johnson as the title character and Don Payne (Thor, Thor: The Dark World)  writing the script.

How do you feel about this one?

Can Hollywood do justice to Lobo?

Is Johnson a good fit for the role? He definitely has the physical presence, but he usually just plays “The Rock” in everything. Do you think he can ditch that persona and become Lobo, or do you think it fits the character?

I really don’t see Dwayne Johnson as the borderline psycopath Lobo really is.

He has the charisma to pull off the snarky humor but he’ll have to ramp up the intensity to 11. I have faith in him though

Johnson is a bit to serious for this kind of role…

Have you SEEN him in the WWE? He can balance humor and intensity simultaneously

  • A_Wise_Man

Yes, but this guy is a borderline psychopath can Johnson do that?

  • Yo

Dwayne needs to get his dark side on for this men..most of his movies where the ones

On Earth? The Lobo comics take place on such fantastic alien worlds, and the best they could do is get it back down to Earth?
