Shailene Woodley As Mary Jane In ‘Amazing Spider-Man 2′?

Despite tepid audience reactions and just-decent reviews, The Amazing Spider-Man made $751 million dollars worldwide.  That truly is amazing.

Sony is shoving the sequel onto a fast-tracked production schedule, with the film scheduled to come out May 2, 2014.

Now which beloved characters are going to show up in Amazing Spider-Man 2?

How about feisty ginger Mary Jane Watson, Peter Parker’s one true love?

Of the list of hopeful actresses Sony would love to have play the iconic part, word is that one particular young lady is at the very tippy top:

Shailene Woodley.

You probably recognize Woodley as George Clooney’s daughter in The Descendants, or for the younger folks out there, as the star teeny bopper on ABC Family’s Secret Life of the American Teenager.

Glad to hear that they’re aiming for talent here, and not just a big name attachment.

    Compared to Kirsten Dunst, anything or anyone is better. Still, don’t they have better actresses in Hollywood or is it the “first one who goes to bed with the director” thing?
