Diesel Shows off Weekend Ride for Sixth ‘Fast and Furious’

Over the weekend, Vin Diesel posted new photos of his sixth and upcoming “Fast and Furious” movie on his Facebook.

The action extravaganza began in 1999, co-starring Paul Walker. Diesel is grateful on how successful the film franchise is, saying:

“How fortunate we are, to be allowed to evolve our characters over a decade.”

He also indicated that the movie is in the last month of filming.

The franchise, which had been reinvigorated by the most recent film “Fast 5,” will be adding the core of the original cast from the first movie, but have also added celebrated action hero, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.

Diesel has been involved in five out of the six films, and was also part of a short which included his “Fast and Furious” character, Dominic Toretto.

The new movie will have a more European flair, having places such as England and the Canary Islands, as these places where scouted and filmed. As the photo hints, it is not that much of a stretch to imagine Diesel’s character at the precipice of a road-tearing car chase that has been one of the trademarks in this franchise’s history.

But, of course, the scene stealers of the series is not so much the actors as it is the exotic and speedy cars that transport these famed characters. The film is full of Chevelles, Chargers, and many more American muscle cars that are sure to attract the infatuation of the culture of car lovers.

“The Fast and the Furious 6” is expected to be released May of 2013, but for now fans can speculate which automotive masterpiece Diesel is riding in the recently released shot.

Don’t want to sound like a know it all but the first film came out in 2001, not 1999. Just FYI.
