Two Teasers For ‘Bates Motel’

Latino-Review.com have been provided with the first two teasers for the series prequel ”Bates Motel,” coming to A&E this spring from Carlton Cuse (“Lost”) & Kerry Ehrin (“Friday Night Lights”).

The two teasers premiere this Sunday during the midseason finale of “The Walking Dead” and again on Tuesday during the “Sons of Anarchy” finale.

“Bates Motel” serves as a contemporary prequel to the genre-defining film, “Psycho,” and promises to give viewers and intimate portrayal of how Norman Bates’ (Freddie Highmore) psyche unravels through his teenage years and just how deeply intricate his relationship to his mother, Norma (Vera Farmiga), truly is.

Have a look at the two teasers below.

I’l admit that this series looks interesting but wasn’t this era of Norman Bate’s life covered in Psycho 4? And that film wasn’t overly great. A series set in the time of the original movie or just slightly before (with Mrs Bates already dead) would have been a a far more interesting idea

Let’s face it, most prequels suck. They demystify the iconic characters we’ve grown to love, and often fall far below expectation.
