Sheen on board ‘Amazing Spider-Man 2′

Swinging into theaters in 2014 will be the man whose great power brought with him so much responsibility: Spider-Man. But, what about the ones that raised him to the hero he became?

Martin Sheen will be in the Spider-Man sequel: “They’ve called me back, I don’t know what the part is gonna be, but I’m going to be ‘Uncle Ben’ once again in Spider-Man next year. We shoot it in February.”

Will quick flashbacks be his role or maybe a sustained storyline before the events of “The Amazing Spider-Man, one that will run concurrently with the present narrative? It could be sort of like the way both past and present worked for “Godfather II.” But, of course, this is just speculation; they might flesh out the relation between Oscorp and Peter’s parents and Sheen might help. Any clues that can be derived from the casting, though, are no where to be accounted for.

“The Amazing Spider-Man 2” though might have a different title: “The Spectacular Spider-Man,” even though it’s just a rumor floating around. It seems to be homage to the comic series that followed the original Spider-Man series by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko. Whatever it the possible title will be, it will start filming in two months aiming for a 2014 release date.

There was no way I was going to see the first one in the theater. The trailers were not impressive, so I waited for redbox. I watch it, and it was Long. Boring and just plain awful. That movie was all over the place, and much of it was without reason. I fuckin’ hate Chris Nolan, cause now everything has to be serious and “Dark”. And that was TAS mistake…that, and they hired an awful film editor. The Avengers proved that not all comic book movies after TDK has to be dark. That’s why it kicked the equally awful Dark Knight Risings ass. It made me appreciate Raimi’s Spiderman movies even more.

Anyway- I know they have different writers on this one, but they have the same director, so it has a 50/50 chance that it won’t be any worst than the first.

Agreed…and the characters looked like retards. seriously, Andrew garfield looks borderline retard. I couldn’t get into it.

raimi’s Parker was too much of a crybaby. I can’t watch any of those movies all the way through because there are such long sections of Peter being a baby. I hate Chris Nolan too though. What a pretentious windbag. I thing amazing spider-man had issues, especially in the editing department, but I disagree that it was too dark. I liked it much better than raimi’s origin. Although he did handle the uncle Ben thing better. Again, editing. Here’s hoping the next outing is better. (goddamn apple and their presumption
that I want to use caps!!!)

I loved the new movie. Better than the other three combined.
