Bryan Singer May go to ‘The Twilight Zone’

CBS Television, producer of the original series, is hoping to bring The Twilight Zone back to primetime; and they think Bryan Singer is that man to do it.

This won’t be Singer’s first venture into TV. He produced House, and directed the failed Munsters reboot Mockingbird Lane. He may also direct the pilot for the new Twilight Zone.

CBS is now looking for a writer and will shop the project to networks once the script is finished.

The original series was created by Rod Serling and took viewers “between the pit of man’s fears and the summit of his knowledge — the summit of imagination.”

Singer is a great choice for this, also the early work of M. Night Shamalan (notice I said early work). Hitchcock and Sterling did awesome work with TV, it was kinda their laboratory for their later films. My only issue is wasn’t there already a Twilight Zone Movie in the works? I thought Leonardo was suppose to play the famous role in “Nightmare at 20,000″ feet which was played by Shatner and John Lithgow.
