I’m guessing he took it as a memento off of the person he just scratched off with his claws

  • error404ts

It’s pretty horrible. It looks really low budget, and his claws out look awkward and forced.

  • Barchiel

He forces his claws out, dumbass. Go make your own movie DIPSHIT

  • Barchiel

Oh oh, by the way…IT’S A COMICBOOK MOVIE, asswipe.

  • Jesus_Slade

Posting comments like that just shows ample ignorance!
    New to the www?

  • ANTI Douche

    Ugh.
    Trollin’ today?

  • Narmstrong

Bishop, he has used a Samurai sword at times in the comics, as well. I like that this story will be taking place in Japan as I think that’s where he received a lot of his training in his back story. I just don’t expect much from this movie based on the last one which I thought was terrible.

I like it, but i have to agree the angle of the claws to the hand look off. If they would of fixed that, then it would be a perfect poster. :)

  • error404ts

The position of his hand looks forced. The image looks like shit. The reasoning of “it’s comic-book movie” doesn’t stand any ground. Especially from someone who can’t take any criticism of something that isn’t even his work. And yes, I know he forces his claws out. This is a comments section, this is a comment. Trolling? Nope. Commenting? Yep. So to clarify I was saying that the IMAGE is low budget. Not the movie. I haven’t seen the movie yet and neither has anyone else. But I’m sure I will. It’s still a horrible image.

  • error404ts

Not trolling. Trolls try to start something, and I’m doing what the author of the post asked: saying what I think. As a fan of the character I think this is a poor image that is used for the poster. It looks amateur, bare, and overall just poor quality. I’ll explain the hand/claws thing one more time. The claws are at the wrong angle, and instead of pointing down they should be point right at the viewer or slightly upward. Because of the angle though it probably made sense to an art director to have the claws point down so that they would be more visible. Most people probably wouldn’t notice that but I did. Commenting to comment is one thing, but commenting to point out that something doesn’t do justice to a character like Wolverine in article about the character and an image of him is relevant and not trolling. If some asshat or fucktard wants to take ownership of the topic when it has nothing to do with him/her then that’s too bad.

  • ANTI Douche

Eh, valid points generally, much like…
Those same claws, you are typing about. ;)
Points, for not going full nutzo in a reply…
See you, on the boards ’404.

  • Transparent_lfe

They should have just made the claws coming out of the hand holding the sword and the hand on his knee holding something else…a mask or something of the like.

  • Barchiel

    Ok monkey balls.

This is one of the best stories I remember reading from my childhood… so for the love of God, please get rid of Hugh Jackman,,, please…

The samurai sword is integral to the story. A lot of fighting for honor’s sake and such. Hopefully they’ll get the action sequences correct. If they plan to actually do the comic justice,,,there’ll be A LOT of bloodshed. But of course they won’t so the kids can buy a ticket.

  • Deadside00

Am I the only one that noticed that his claws are not really his? It looks he’s holding a weapon with three blades.

  • Duh Cap

    It has to be Daken!
